Why old Garage guides conflict
The Garage has appeared in multiple platform builds and has received fixes. Cleaning, painting, key, and unlock reports should therefore be read with a platform and date attached.
Safe recovery order
Check that the previous task visibly completed, return every required object to the expected interaction area, leave and re-enter only after saving, then restart the game before starting a fresh save.
- Record your platform and version before troubleshooting.
- Avoid deleting a save until you have tried a clean restart.
- If a patch just installed, reproduce once before following an older workaround.
PS VR2 note
A first post-launch patch fixed a Garage clean/paint block for multiple players, but at least one residual report remained. That history does not prove every current Garage problem is the same bug.
