Set the room before the cat
Recenter your headset, confirm the floor height, and clear the space you can safely reach. I Am Cat asks you to lean, grab, throw, and look under oversized furniture, so a poor boundary setup becomes a gameplay problem quickly.
- Keep a small buffer from walls and furniture.
- Test seated and standing reach before committing to a save session.
- Use the in-game prompts for your current controller; button maps can differ by platform and build.
Choose comfort over speed
If smooth turning or locomotion causes discomfort, begin with snap turning and shorter sessions. Change one setting at a time so you know which adjustment helped.
Platform note
Exact control labels and comfort menus still need a fresh capture on all three platforms. This page intentionally avoids a universal button chart until that check is complete.
