Confirm the keypad belongs to the active task
Do not enter a remembered code as soon as you see a keypad. Read the objective, locate the clue or device it names, and make sure the previous shop interaction has completed. A correct number cannot start a trigger that is still inactive.

Use 88005 with a version warning
The value 88005 appears in established walkthrough material for the freezer sequence. Treat it as an older Quest-route answer, not a guarantee for every port or patch. If the clue in your game disagrees, trust the current clue.

Separate a wrong code from a missed trigger
A wrong code usually leaves the keypad responsive. A missed prerequisite may leave the whole interaction inert or the objective unchanged. Return to the last accepted shop step, replace the required item, and wait for the task to advance before retrying.
- Check the objective wording.
- Check the keypad or clue location.
- Retry once after a clean restart.
- Keep the save until the issue is reproducible.
When to stop following the video
Stop when the room, prompt, or task order no longer matches. Use the video to identify the shop layout, then continue from the state shown in your own game.
